Welcome to Poppy Jones Photography!

Welcome to my world of pet photography. I'm Poppy, a dedicated photographer with a passion for capturing the unique beauty of your best friends. With a focus on equine and canine companions, I strive to freeze moments in time that evoke lasting emotions and memories.

Based in the picturesque landscapes of West Wales, I have the privilege of utilizing breathtaking backdrops for your pet's photoshoots, creating enchanting, natural settings that complement their charm. As a pet owner myself, I understand the significance of these four-legged family members. I take the time to build a connection with your pets, ensuring they feel comfortable and ready to showcase their best sides in front of the camera.

Whether it's the thundering hooves of a horse galloping through the fields, or the playful antics of a dog on the beach, I am committed to capturing the essence of your pets and providing you with stunning photographs to cherish forever.

With a background in photography, a love for animals, and a dedication to storytelling, I'm excited to share my passion with you. Let's create timeless memories and celebrate the beauty of your equine and canine companions together.

Thank you for considering me for your pet photography journey. To book a session or learn more, please feel free to reach out. Let's tell your pet's story, one picture at a time.

frequently asked questions:

What types of photography do you offer?

I offer on location pet photography, and pet business photography.

Can I book a session outside of normal business hours?

In the summertime, yes.  In Winter i have set shoot times between 11am-3pm for the best lighting.

My dogs cant be off lead, is this a problem?

Not at all, the majority of the dogs I photograph remain on lead during their sessions to keep both dog and humans safe, leads get removed in post editing, you would never know it was there!

What if my dog is nervous?

I have got lots of experience with nervous or fearful dogs, I will always work around your dog so they feel fully comfortable with me. They will never be rushed and extra time will be taken to ensure they are happy and relaxed!

What gear do you use?

I currently use a nikon d7200 with both the 85mm 1.8 lens, and the 50mm 1.8 lens. My favourite is the 85, this rarely leaves my camera!

Do you offer print services?

Yes, we provide print services for all of our photography.

Will you photograph banned breeds?

Absolutely, as long as they wear their muzzle and are on lead in public areas, otherwise they can be off lead and unmuzzled in your own garden/property or a private hired dog field which you are welcome to do.
